Shabby chic light green dresser

Sorry I have no before pictures

----------sold------------

My husband found this wonderful dresser and brought it home for me.  It had all it's original hardware but was all scratched up and old looking.
We sanded and stained the top. Then we used some green paint from the "oops" section of Home Depot.  I made my own Chalk paint with Non-sanded Grout. Chalk paint give the ability to sand easily. As you can see we did A LOT of distressing.
I then put a layer of stain over the green to give it an aged look.
I love the way this dresser came out!!!!!!

repurposed sewing machine

My husband seems to find the best pieces of furniture for me. This was an old sewing machine that was in BAD, BAD, BAD shape.
We had to sand the whole thing down, remove all the extra sewing machine parts and remove the whole back piece because as you can see in the picture below it, it was coming apart.
After we did all that we painted it and put a layer of stain over the top to give it that aged look.

It is such a beautiful piece. Sometimes I just sit and stare at it. :)

coat rack

My husband built this and I painted it :)

We did it as a date night on Friday evening. It was so much fun.

I am getting a little help with the sanding :)
